Oobleck
Current Conditions Friday, February 05, 2010 from 24.207.100.203

That is what was falling from the sky on Dakota Ridge this morning. Wet, gloppy, sloppy, mushy, wet oobleck.
Hard for the groomers to moved around with the tiller, and even harder to skate ski in. You definitely don't have to worry about holding back on the downhill runs. The western loop that goes across the bottom of the dog leg is now open and skiable but a little dirty. The road is holding its own.
Patrick & Michel are working at filling holes with pallets.
Bring a shovel up with you on Saturday.

Night skiing
Current Conditions Thursday, February 04, 2010 from 24.207.100.203

Seven of us went night skiing on the Ridge last night. A few centimetres of fresh snow on top of the previous day's grooming made for very forgiving conditions.
A little foggy with light snow falling and not much moon but still enjoyable.
Road holding up well.

Still need snow
Current Conditions Monday, February 01, 2010 from 24.207.100.203

On Sunday the groomers played with what snow was available to make the Eastern trails on the Ridge skiable. The Western main trail is groomed for 1km and that's it - dead end in the dirt.
We still need snow but you can have fun skiing on the Eastern side. The snowshoe trails have a few 'dry' spots too.

The road is open but the last 1km up to the top is muddy and rutted. Try and stay out of the ruts and spread the muck around.

If you have 4x4 please use it: it's easier on the road.
