8am this morning was 4 inches new snow at the gate. Almost raining. Freezing level is around 3300 ft, and going up and down. Some quads and 4x4s have tried to drive past gate. This has wreaked the trail. Please do not drive rubber tired vehicles in snow as it makes it hard to travel by ski or snow shoe. A fellow from snow mobile club spent 5 hours last week grooming the road up to fix ruts. Park at Lot B and walk up snow to deep and icey half way up from lot B. Severalpeople have been stuck. Have a safe day and dry one.

Current Conditions Wednesday, November 22, 2006

Going from reports from Cypress and Grouse there might be 5 inches of new snow on our mountains. Higher up there should be well over 100cms total over the last 2 weeks.
Freezing level is hanging around 3300ft so expect some melting and wet snow at lower elavations.
Please post your reports it is harmless. The more info we have the better.
Have a great snow day.

Watch out for the cross ditches on the Tet road just before the bridge. Snow phone for tet is 740-3030. Updated once a week or so.
Dakota road is not plowed yet and maybe rough in sections. There are some large rocks sticking through so Cars are not recomened above lot A( the Y in road)
Take care as temps are falling and may get snow down to the water.

Apears snow level is around 1000ft over night. So roads up hill maybe coverd use caution . Use headlights as it makes sure you are seen faster. Slow down and make sure you have good SNOW tires not just allseason. Tow trucks will not go up the hill to pull you out. Chains are the best to have and use. Take care. Do Not let your kids sled or tobogan on the road. It is a shure way to get Hurt.

Dakota RidgeDakota Ridge
Current Conditions Monday, November 27, 2006

Road is extrenely dangerous travel with out chains on is not recomended. Several trucks were in ditches and over banks on several mountain roads. Tow trucks will not come and pull you out. Don't call BCAA they won't help. Please slow down on logging roads as there maybe someone coming the other way. Be careful carry shovel chains and some warm extra warm clothes. $ wheel drives still have 4 brakes like a car so down hill they are no better. Please do not to tobogons behind your trucks on public roads.
Play safe don't drink and play up the mountain keep your wits about you.

Dakota RidgeDakota Ridge
Alert / Warning Tuesday, November 28, 2006

Dakota RidgeDakota Ridge
