Scout group Nov 6 & 7 Current Conditions Tuesday, November 09, 2010
We had a great trip into the Tet. The road to the lower lot is in great shape and the road to the upper lot is the same as usual :-) We had a dry but overcast day for our hike up. We ended up staying at Edwards Lake Cabin as one of our group wasn't feeling well. (Just as well as a group of 4 yahoos stopped on their way up to Steele). It rained and hailed overnight. The roof has several leaks. Cabin was nice and clean. There was a skif of snow on the ground but we could see snow just up the hill from us. We had a beautiful clear day for our hike down.

Tet road Current Conditions Sunday, November 14, 2010
road bare and clear to lower parking lot and about 4' gloppy wet snow on road to upper parking area. almost time to close the gate and get the pallets in the cross ditches. took backcountry skis but left them in the truck and hiked into Batchelor cabin via ridge route then out north slope to upper road route. almost a foot of snow on slope north of cabin which made for interesting hiking but still wasn't enough to ski with many bare patches and rocks showing. cabin itself clean and tidy and noone had been up since Nov 11. so when is this La Nina supposed to get here? let's get some snow!

Dakota Ridge- Nov. 21 Current Conditions Sunday, November 21, 2010
40 cm of snow at the Hut- great conditions for late November! Lots of people up snowshoeing or sledding. Hut is locked still. Road above Lot B is not easy - 4X4 / chains recommended. As the day warmed up- road all the way down to lot A / KM 6 was VERY slick. Use caution. Remember, drive slow on this road- at many sections there is only room for one vehicle. More snow coming this week!

Dakota Ridge Current Conditions Wednesday, November 24, 2010
No need for groomer just follow Roger and Frank they make good tracks. From all weather reports heavy snow should start falling tonight with large amounts for next 5 days. Be prepared get your chains and shovels ready. 2 minutes to put chains on can save you hours stuck in ditch. Use headlights while driving the Dakota or Tet Roads. There can be large amounts of traffic do not stop on travelled portion of road. Please do not let your kids tobogan down the road. Have a safe winter season. Watch for Plows.
