Roberts Creek Elementary Bachelor Lake check-in Current Conditions Friday, April 05, 2013
We were at Bachelor on April 4-5. The cabin was found in good order, but there is only a bit more than half a cord of wood left under the cabin (the wood box is full and there is kindling under the stove: we also packed out the garbage in the outhouse).
The snow on Tannis is melting quickly and the slush is nearing the surface. There are many openings around the shore: we elected to transit around the lake: last week we crossed.
The road is clear of snow right to the parking lot at Branch 500. After a week of warm weather and a few days of steady rain, the slumping snow in the parking lot makes it like driving in a Slurpie. Thanks, Snow Man for your work on the road and thanks TOC for your work in the cabins!

Spring sking Current Conditions Monday, April 08, 2013
Upper section closed so went to the left lower down in area that brings you the best views of the Straight. It was glorious. Spring corn conditions. Fast enough. The gullies are still full so no climbing up and down and messing in the water. Views of the straight and clouds wonderful, warm ti shirt weather. My dog Luna loved it. Don't know how much longer the gullies will be full of snow. Carpe diem.

Dakota Current Conditions Monday, April 15, 2013
5' of fresh wet snow over the weekend. Ribons are still up for some of the snow shoeing trails which was a bonus. Road is in good condition with snow on the road starting at Parking lot B. Watch out for the new cross ditches in the road to divert water runoff. The deep ones were a bit of a suprise with 5' of snow covering them. The gate is locked at the entrance as the season is officially closed. Enjoy the last of these sping conditions.
