Hiking Toward Mt Steele Current Conditions Tuesday, March 31, 2015
Four of us hiked to Edward's Lake cabin and towards Mt Steele today. At the junction of the trail to Edward's and Batchelor cabins and beyond there was a couple inches of fresh snow. Edward's Lake was ice free. Edward's cabin very tidy. Dumped kitchen sink pail. Grey jays very happy to see us. Past Edward's Lake cabin the amount of snow gradually increased. At about 1400 m, at base of Steele, there was up to a couple of feet of compacted snow with a few inches of fresh on top. Not melting at this elevation but very drippy in places as we descended. All in all a great day.

Tetrahedron Park gate Current Conditions Wednesday, April 22, 2015
The gate to the upper parking lot is now open. A few cm's of snow into Edwards cabin under the forest cover otherwise quite mucky. Be prepared for mud and puddles as the trails dry out. Enjoy spring in the Tet.
