Tet Road Construction at 1 km is finished Saturday, November 12, 2016
Good road base and compacted well. Please do not drive in same ruts or tracks as others try to spread out your tracks to prevent water running down the road. If you see branches or rocks on road please stop and move them if you can. Keep it safe for all.

Roads in are in good shape. Reconstructed section is finished and well done. Cabins were amazing and get better all the time. Steele cabin super clean and well stocked. Bring some paper or cardboard for fire starting. On Friday Nov 11 hike in was good...not too wet. Saturday rains though turned the upper area from the plateau almost down to Edwards cabin into a creek on trail in most sections. Expect to have wet feet in all but rubber boots if the rain is heavy. Thanks to all the people involved in keeping the cabins so great. That water ladle above the stove is a really nice touch.

snow Current Conditions Sunday, November 27, 2016
Winter is here and the trails are all covered with about a meter of snow (not measured). The lower parking lot is accessible with 4X4 and snow tires and nobody has tried to access the upper parking lot with good reason.
According to the logbook in Edwards lake nobody had been up for 10 days and the trails had to be broken to get there. As of Nov 26 the trail has not yet been broken to Mt Steele. However on the way back there were several groups in the parking lot. Temperatures were below freezing so most of the rain in the past few days turned into snow on the mountains.
many thanks to the wonderful work of the Tetrahedron club for the use of the cabin
