Tet and Dakota roads covers in snow Chains needed Current Conditions Saturday, November 18, 2017
Last report from Alpha was 13 inches snow st Dakota Road covered in snow probably lots more since Thursday. The Tet was reported to have 25 cms snow at parking lot and 50 cms at Bachelor cabin. Could be much more by now. Road not plowed Chains a must 4x4 with chains. No tow trucks will go up there. Slow down respect other road users use headlights to be seen sooner. There is no right away on back roads. Carry shovels you might have to dig out or a safe parking spot. Park well off the road leave room for large trucks etc to get by yours safely. No toboggans on the roads very dangerous. Enjoy stay safe be prepared. Video link on how easy diamond back chains are to put on. Best chains to use designed in Europe takes 1 min a wheel to put on much safer then cable chains https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=H0fIf...

Dakota Ridge. Warmed up and munch snow melted Current Conditions Friday, November 24, 2017
I put chains on but gave up snow on Road 1000 ft before gate very wet and iced slush. Would be easy to get stuck. Best to stay clear of Dakota till much colder and snowy conditions. With some good deep freezes the base on trails should hold together. Was mix of snow and rain this morning very poor traction and wet wait till big freeze and large snow dumps. Road is rough and some wash outs happening slow down use headlights. Be prepared.
