Tet Road challenging for low clearance vehicles Tuesday, January 01, 2019
Was up yesterday the new water bar cross ditches make it rough There are 2 frozen ruts which are hard to get out of only aroun 1 ft of snow storm but frozen hard only 5 cars at the lot There was a Volkswagen bug halfway up. Even with chains on it was rough.

Things have warmed up higher temps in the Tet and Rain. +5’ at timed Be prepared for changing conditions. Could be soft and wet spots on trails I am going up to check the road on Sunday. It has been warmer in the Tetrahedron then normal as high as 10’c and rain in last week. Here are pics of the weather station for last week. The road sucks damaged my muffler going through those new ditches in the road. Won’t be going up there again.

Adventure Smart free workshops Friday, January 18, 2019
Adventure Smart will be hosting a free workshop at 1975 Field Road on Feb 2 from 9-3. This Teach the Presenter workshop will qualify you to teach the Adventure Smart programs including Hug a Tree, Snow Smart, Paddle Smart and Survive Outside. Links will be shared for presenters to access free whistles, emergency shelter, trip plans, and more when they teach these programs. BC Search and Rescue had 1600 callouts last year. These programs will help prevent some of those. Presented by Sunshine Coast Search & Rescue. To register contact bccoordinator@adventuresmart.ca
