The Sechelt Airport weather station was only set up tempory basis for Olympics. If we want accurate weather for our area we need to make sure some plan gets made to keep it after end of this year. In years past Sechelt weather has been taken from Pt Atkinson which is often 8-10'c different. We are closer to Nanaimo temps then West Van.
Please be aware we could loose our weather station at end of year.

Anyone been to Tet lately

PLEASE POST ANY NEW INFO IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO THE TET. Here is info from poison control center. DO NOT PEE ON IT OR USE VINEGAR AND FRESH WATER. The treatment for BC Coastal Red Jelly Fish is totaly different then Tropics. We called Nurses hotline and they do not have the current info. Hope no one needs this info but here if you need it.

FLUSH AREA WITH SEA WATER!!

Skin:
Flush area with a gentle stream of seawater.
Do not use vinegar for stings from jellyfish in Canadian coastal waters. It may worsen the sting.
Do not urinate on the sting area or flush with fresh water or alcohol, as this may cause firing of stingers.
After flushing area, remove any remaining tentacles by scraping with a plastic card or dull edge of a knife.
For jellyfish stings from outside of Canadian coastal waters, contact the Poison Control Centre.

Any New info from The Tet

Just wondering if anyone has been into the Tet if they could share the info with us.
